It's rather symptomatic of low blood pressure, Mick. You could get that checked, but it's all I can think of right now.

I don't know if the PMR/GCA medication has any bearing on the dizziness, but I have low blood pressure & have always had to get up fairly slowly or feel dizzy. In the days when I did go to the gym (before these problems) I was warned to get off various machines with care, too!

Hi MIckt, I have a similar problem especially when getting out of bed or. Getting up quickly from a chair.

I checked my blood pressure a couple of days ago and found. It to be 104/69 so I assumed that it could be my blood pressure meds?

Once down to below 4mg pred I had this problem for 2 to 3 weeks after each drop. Blood pressure was checked and was very good but the checks were always just before the next drop. Once off pred completely this problem has disappeared completely. I presume that it was some kind of pred withdrawal symptom. Have you recently reduced your dose?

Hope you are better soon.

As polkadotcom says - likely to be BP. The warfarin may have changed the way your body processes the drugs you are already on and making them more effective so your BP is falling too low at times.

What you have is probably what is called postural hypotension - the body can't quite keep up with the change in position and the BP falls, your brain gets starved and you feel dizzy. It is very common. The GP can check by taking your BP sitting and then when you stand up. In the meantime - stand up slowly and make sure there is something to hang onto for a minute. Wait until you feel steady before moving again.
