Complex question: My GCA was denied by drs. I've had lower jaw dental problems - dead nerves and adsorbed roots - could this be due to GCA?

I've not come across any suggestion that such problems could be down to GCA. Muscle/jaw pain yes, even tongue cramping, but actual physical damage no.

Steroids can cause dental problems, but as far as I'm aware, usually after prolonged use.

Ah! I've been on prednisolone for 8 months, only a low dose but this is useful info and I will be extra careful now. Thank you Polkadot :-)

Bleeding gums are mentioned here in relation to GCA, I wondered why this should be. nytimes.com/health/guides/d...
