Inflamed eye lid

Reduced my preb and got swelling on upper eye lid. Concerned.

Dubliner, what kind of swelling? Is it a stye or something different? But really if you are concerned then you should see your doctor - eyes are important and not to be messed with.

Don't want to diagnose you, but I also developed a swollen red eyelid, which becamse itchy and then produced a ;ittle pus spot - saw doctor who said it was blepharitis. I have an ointment to put on it and drops. The most effective things are Blepharclean swabs, I find. It can appear in both eyes, but the infection comes and goes and is just another side effect of a lowered immune system according to my doc. But yours may be something else entirely, so I shold get it checked out.

I don't have inflamed eyelids, but since reducing Prednisolone have pale blue margins to upper and lower lid margins of both eyes. Look cyanosed.

You reminded me! Two days ago I noticed that I had bluish marks either sides of my nose - like a bruise - in the corners of my eyes. My glasses covers them up and I had forgotten. I have just got to the end of a slow reduction of pred from 12.5 to 11.5mg. Most odd.

I had an inflamed eyelid and pain in my eye had telephone consultation with doctor who .was not happy and came to see me .He gave me antibiotic eye drops which helped a bit .I had my usual eye hospital appointment(I have macular degeneration) a couple of days later and was given steroid eye drops and it was diagnosed as Scleritis . If you have any pain in you eye ball get it checked out. Take Care
