Hi does anyone know if prednisolone causes gallbladder problems? I've only been on them for three weeks and now having pain in top

It can cause pancreas problems but gall bladder isn't usually mentioned. When does it happen? After food? All the time?

What else are you on? Did they give you other stuff "because you are on pred you need this..."?

However - you need to mention it to your GP.

If you have been given either Omeprazole or Lansoprazole as stomach protectors alongside the Prednisolone, then that could be the likely cause. I was unable to tolerate either with one giving me severe bowel problems and the other causing pain in the right side of my stomach.

[Hidden]

I had problems with uncoated Pred but the stomach protected version was okay. It caused nasty pain on the right side of my stomach and indigestion. Another possibililty.
