Hello I have always found this a useful source for understanding creatine levels. Remember creatinine varies throughout the day depending on foods eaten, exercise taken and also hydration level.

The PKD Charity which is UK based also has a superb website, creatinine is discussed on the following page.

Hi Susan,

What i wanted to know is I am 46 year old male and diagnosed with ADPKD, Currently I am on BP medications and ceratine levels are around 1.2 mg/dl since almost 8 months. My Doc has advised for a blood tests once in 2 months, The high was 1.22mg/dl and lowest was 1.19mg/dl. My Doc said the range is from 0.7 to 1.2 mg/dl, I am worried if I am already in the border line.

good morning. At present your readings are at the upper end of 'normal'. As PKD progresses you may find your readings continue to rise. Your medical team will be able to discuss this with you and even looking at your historical readings be able to graph estimate the rate of decline. At present you have nothing to panic over. You will be amazed at how high readings become before dialysis /transplant is needed. Best wishes.
