Hi Inna! I’m pretty sure beets and beet juice are on the ‘good’ list of foods good for the liver. At least, I have read that they were good in several places.

I hope you are doing well. I’m going for my labs at the liver clinic on Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed for decent results.

I agree about the beet products. Let us know how the lab work goes.

The labs actually went pretty well. ALP is still in the 200’s and bilirubin was a little high but still, for me not too bad. Everything else was in the normal range. Except my sodium which is always just a tiny low. Anyway, I have cirrhosis so numbers most likely will never be normal. They are afraid to try the Ocaliva or fenofibrates because of the cirrhosis. They might make it worse. Overall I felt encouraged. My numbers were down from 6 months ago and most days I feel pretty good.

That sounds great! we all celebrate with you. Waiting for lab results can be nerve racking. Anytime numbers go down, it's a good thing for sure.
