Does anyone take Lisinopril for elevated blood pressure and have you had any problems with elevated LFTs?

I've been on Lisinopril for a year now- and I have to say it's one of the nicer ones- my bp stabilised within a month, palpations reduced. No side affects that I'm aware of . Ive have hypertension for over 20 years, Good luck!

Thank you for telling me about your experience. Was your bp very high when you started taking it?

Twojer,

I dont take Lisinopril but do take Enalapril which basically is from the same class of B/P medications. Been taking it for close to 2 years now and although it decreased my B/P which was very a high systolic in the 200 range, I also have to take hydrochlorothiazide as the enalapril didnt bring my b/p down enough but both medications seem to work fine for my b/p now.

Thanks Toddyboo. I was on Clonidine but had to wean off of it gradually because you can’t quit cold turkey while adding Lisinopril. Unfortunately my blood pressure has gone up rather than down some am trying to go back on Clonidine .
