Hi all. Looking to start a supplement with turmeric to help with inflammation. And am finding mixed reviews in whether or not it is ok with PBC. Any perspective would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm in an early stage stage of pbc and have been taking a turmeric supplement for about 6 months. My crp level came way down to normal and no change in liver enzymes. Having another blood test at end of this week. Will update if there are any changes.

I’ve been juicing with beets, celery, turmeric, ginger a lemon every day for several years. My liver enzymes are all good. Helps with the inflammation!! Sometimes I also drink those turmeric shots you can buy at the grocery store or I make my own.

if you do a Google search you’ll find years ago a study in the UK that showed huge benefit for PBC patients taking tumeric. I don’t know if that study has been updated it but I started it about 6 months after diagnosis and have taken it ever since with good results on my blood work.

I heard years and years ago when I read the research on what’s good to have for pbc that turmeric isn’t good. Let’s look up scholarly, peer reviewed research to get an answer
