Well done, what a relief for you! Yes it will be backdated but give it a few weeks to come through.

Hi, Neata, Val02, and babak, hope you don't mind me asking, how long did it take for the money to go into bank a/c ? Win my appeal in dec, received a letter in jan staing the amount I would get back, but still waiting, also only in the last month did I get esa without having to phone them 1st, to put into bank a/c the date it was due. Also, don't know how many points I've got, only got paper with appeal granted from courts, stating I'm in support group, due to PBC, and depression.
I won my appeal on 8th feb after waiting 14 months, I rang ESA dept yesterday and they told me that they hadn't received paperwork from the tribunal, I know that within 24 hrs the information they require is in their dept, just to be funny I said would you like me to send you a copy of my decision notice so u can forward money owed to me, which she didn't, she said that that would not be neccesary, so then I asked what time scale are you looking at for completion and she said they are working on the beginning of the month now, so if I haven't heard anything by the 8th march I will be back on the phone only this time I will be more demanding, like they are when it's something they want, might I add cause it will probably be of use to other winners, I was told because I asked at the tribunal, will I have to still submit sick notes and was told no, low and behold over the weekend I received a letter to submit a further sick note, I rang them and the reason given was because they hadn't received confirmation from tribunal I am still on their system as I was before, so was advised to send one in cause their will be a lapse in between them receiving the information they require and that may result in unpaid benefits, honest to god it's like a broken record, hope this info has been of help to many, congrats to all who have won I know what it has taken you to get there, I'll be honest I nearly gave up, and good luck to those waiting to appeal
I'm sure you're relieve, Babak. This gov has a lot to answer for. I'm still on DLA. Got forms to fill out again on 22nd December and they were returned by 21st January. They said it would take 16-18wks before I'd get an answer but got one on Saturday and my DLA remains the same and opaid the same amount. My GP said if I didn't get it he'd want to know who its for as I have: asthma; arthritis; depression; fibromyalgia; hiatis hernia; insomnia; migraine; PBC; Raynauds; scleroderma; sciatica; sjogrens and telganiectasis. So if I hadn't got it I'd have been wondering who it was for, too. 
I won my ESA Apeal and it's almost been 12 months!. i scored 0 points at atos but scored 18 points with the apeal.
Let me help some of you who are going through some tough times and i hope i can help some people too.
The tribunal is a different from court they are independent. they will tell you that when you come in they are very helpful, when you go into the room there are 3 people 1 person sitting next to each other and 1 person the lawer, back of the room and a social worker, and a doctor, they will tell you some questions about the current year as of last year
But don't worry they will not be biast against you, at the end when they tell you to come back in. there is a typed letter on the desk for you, that will tell what you are intitled to. but at the start they will tell you before they go into the room how it is done and tell you how it works. but be warned that they will tell if they will make a decision there and then or they will send you a letter in the post if they have alot of people to see.
Also provide evidence within 7 days if you have a carer or a person who that supports you or knows you. send in the evidence and they will send you all the evidence you got. also bring in the evidence too that got sent back to you to make sure. when they ask questions,
If you don't know just ask them to say it it again and they will be able to put it in a simpler way for you to understand it. They are trained that way. to do with people who have special needs like myself. this is the experience i had with them. Very polite and understanding. they are here not to judge you or laugh at you. they are very professional.
