Thank you for posting the link. I found it a really useful article. The author described some of the emotions I am feeling very succinctly. I think the worst part for me though is uncertainty and how that affects my ability to plan for the future. For example, why bother saving for retirement - maybe I should spend the money now while I still can.
thank you for posting the article. Like SheepJane, I found it described a lot of how i have felt.
I think at the moment I am a bit 'stagnant' - if that makes sense - and it's uncertainty that is causing me the problems too. Part of my problem is the unpredictability of PBC and the lack of proper awareness that a lot of doctors and others have about PBC.
I get asked 'when will you be able to return to work?' and I can't even answer a question like 'would you be up for a night out at the weekend?'.
If I was left to my own devices, I think I could manage but in order to be sure of having an income, I need to know what I will feel like in 6 months time. It's like being stuck in a not very funky groove because I am preparing (or hoping) to be back in work in a couple of months. So far though, the signs aren't great.
thank you - I too found it a very interesting article & have also applied to join the PBC'ers on Yahoo Groups.
