Hi pollygale:

I researched numerous sites offering vitamins in North America, including B12 in the methylcobalamin form, and did not come across any reference to the method of application you consider.

To my knowledge - and my research was extensive - it is not available here. Note my research also included the Mayo Clinic website, that lists protocols for all pharmaceuticals

and vitamins for different purposes/medical reasons.

Given its contact point with the body, it appears to me the sublingual method is the fastest point of entry, as opposed to muscular contact, for the product on a patch would have to penetrate through the "dermis" before it can be absorbed.

I have good knowledge of homeopathics and their method of application is always sublingual, for the chemical substance to be ingested directly into the bloodstream. Even sprays work well.

Best of luck in your search,

mashby

When I was first diagnosed with PA last year, I used 1000mcg cyanocobalamin B12 patches that I purchased at a local pharmacy here in Texas while waiting on my sublingual 5000mcg methylcobalamin pills to arrive. I was very happy with the results but I needed a new one every few days and it was cost-prohibitive to continue using them.

Website is B12Patch.com

Hi Pollygale,

I've just purchased some b12 patches off Amazon.co.uk, I've only used one so far. The instructions said to wear for 24 hours and then use another five days later. I wore one for 24 hours on the 29th to 30th Jan. I can't say I don't feel tired, but I feel happier. My pee smelt of brewers yeast like smell on the 30th. I can't say I don't feel tired, but I've been able to get up a bit better today and yesterday and I feel happier, looking forward to things.

Hope this helps

Mc x
