William1. I am unsure as following my b12every 3months. Initially I feel less tired but it does. ot last very long before I am weary again and I must admit I feel it makes me feel lazy and a lot of things I should do, do not get done I am due for my injection now so am at my lowest point and when I see my doctor I am going to raise this with him he is a very enlightened doctor so I hopefully will get a good result. I will come back to you to le you know the outcome. Lightening. My user name is a bit of a pun as I am not fast as lightening I am very slow and tired!! all the best lightening

As PA (with IF antibodies) is an autoumine condition, it can mean you are more susseptable to more autoumine conditions. Common (50%) is hypothyroid, other conditions such as RA etc are also reasonably common.

If you are not doing well on current treatment then it should be investigated why..testing folate and ferritine can be helpful as once a lot of B12 is given the body can get depleted of folate and iron (plus other B vitamins) all used for blood production, my simple explanation. Also testing thyroid and thyroid antibodies etc are useful, besides other antibodies (coalic) and or investigations etc.

So best bet is to go back to GP and ask for further investigations..would be my option...

Hope this helps,

Kind regards,

Marre.
