For someone who finds that Cynocobalamin suits them , those are good value at €54.80 for 100 ampoules ( 10 x 10). at apohealth.de. But I believe that most members on this forum use Hydroxocobalamin, which is what has been used by the NHS for many years .so that’s the type of cobalamin that members on this forum go for. But it’s well known that Clivealive uses Cynocobalamin ampoules because Hydroxocobalamin does not suit him

The NHS changed from using Cynocobalamin to Hydroxocobalamin because it was said that Hydroxo stayed in the body longer . Cyno should not be used if the patient has Leber’s .eye disease . It is a very rare condition . Cyno is used extensively in the USA .

I have used Cyano before and I could see any disadvante to it even when I was more cautious and ws once per week SI. . . .It was actually the very first I used and have had it several time over the years I have SI'd. . . still have half a box in the fridge which has a very long date on it. . . . . . It seems to have quite long dates the boxes I have had . . . . Test in the 1970s using Cyano showed that the last of it left the body in around 72 hours. . . .. . even later tests using much better equipment seemed to show similar even with Hydroxo. . . .. Hydroxo remained in the system for a little longer but def not days or weeks according to what I read. . . . . Couple or three years since I read all that stuff I sat up half the nights at and read because proper research is so scarce. . . . . . And advice is next to zero apart from "the nhs uses it". . . . . Yes the NHS uses Hydroxo and absolutley nothing wrong with Hydroxo but I am not convinced about whether is it better or not.. . . . The NHS mind has been following a an increasingly business route for some time so I am no longer trusting in any of its decisions especially after what I and it seems countless others went through under it. . . . . . The HSE here is more of a mixed bag I am thinking. .. . . I must pay attention to each box I see at 3 month intervals. . . . . . . Even the NHS might not be a sure as many think. . . . . . Here is a little bit from a question in the big house and concerning the UK MRHA . . . . . Under current legislation in the UK, persons diagnosed with pernicious anaemia can receive Cyanocobalamin, known also as Intra Muscular B12 (IM B12) injections, once every three months. Many sufferers explain that this dosage is not sufficient for tackling the symptoms of this illness, and they have been forced to self-medicate themselves by ordering medication from abroad. The date on that is 12/2018. . . . . . Either that or the big wig in the big house as usual hadnt a clue what they were speaking about which would not surprise me

No, I have not but I was not fussy either visiting a couple of pharmacists abroad

Have you got ? How many boxes ? When are you having more ? See you then.

I'm mixing and matching them with my nhs hydroxocobalamin. They're ok, but i think the hydroxocobalamin works better for me (but want to use up the zentiva I bought at Christmas because there was a delay in getting my prescription). They don't sting as much as hydroxocoblamin.

sting and hurt like hell. I am OK with pascoes but all the other brands I have tried are torturous.

Yes I bought some from a pharmacy in Germany. They are cyanocobalamin. Well known brand.

They are available from apohealth which supply various brands both in their site and via amazon and I have bought from them in the past without problem. . . .

I'll maybe give them a go. . . . . I know 1 euro per day doesnt sound like much but throw in a B6, various oral suplements and a load of ambroxol plus saline for the nebuliser and it all mounts up. . . . .

Several have mentioned stinging and something came to mind .. . . . A few days ago. . . .Maybe a week . . . . . . I had a jab that seemed to sting but I also noticed that the needle did not enter easily as it usually would and from that point on there was a stinging sensation . . . . . . Upon removal I looked at the needle and the point was bent over just a little.. . . . I had not damaged it. . . . . . I dont use the same needle to draw up as I do to SI. . . . . . But sting it certainly did. . . . . . . So just thining for those who use the same needle to draw up any damage could result in stinging. . . . . . I would not have thought so but thats what happened . . . . . . . same hydroxo before nad after no problems. . . . . . Just the needle
