Hi Everyone, i have been suffering from post nasal drip and extreme fatigue both mental and physical for the last 5 years. Other symptoms include flatulence, metallic taste in mouth and nasal congestion. I recently had a blood test done, the result of which I have added in the attachment. I would really appreciate if someone could help me in making sense of the report so that I could decide on my future steps. Thanks.
PS - I also get heart palpitations on sudden exertions.

The results indicate that you have microcytic anaemia as they are smaller than normal. The most common cause is iron deficiency. Not a medic. Not an expert in diagnosis. Recommend you speak to a medical professional.
Have you considered silent reflux? A fine spray of acid comes up your oesophagus when you are sleeping and it causes a sore throat, metallic taste and post nasal drip. You wouldn’t even know it was happening without the symptoms.
You've not made it easy for us, however, I have managed to work out some of the numbers.
My observations are
1. You're not in the UK!
2. You're not anaemic.
3. Your MCV and MCH are at the bottom end of the range and [unless there's another reason and I can think of a few] then it may indicate that your iron situation is borderline, but without knowing rather more, it's hard to say.
God luck.
Difficult to read but if the top one is Haemoglobin count, then 13, is about normal for iron levels. Couldn't see your ferritin levels, hasn't your GP commented on your results.
I have silent reflux because of a Hiatus hernia. Some people get heartburn, but others get silent reflux which means acid creeps up your throat, and can cause post nasal drip, acidic taste in the mouth, a cough, croaky voice, and other sinus issues.
Not curable but managed by changes in diet and medication, but again you would need to discuss with GP.
If you have time, might be helpful to type out the results separately and include reference ranges. Sorry but can't read the results.
I am not medically trained.
Many people on this forum have Pernicious Anaemia (spelt Pernicious Anemia in US) which is an auto immune condition that leads to B12 deficiency and sometimes macrocytic anaemia (where red blood cells are enlarged).
The forum is also used by people who have B12 deficiency from other causes.
It's quite common for people on this forum to also have deficiencies in iron, folate and Vitamin D. Thyroid issues are quite common as well.
If you have iron deficiency, what does your doctor think is causing it?
There are lots of potential causes of iron deficiency.
Bleeding, diet and coeliac disease are a few I can think of but there are others.
