Looking for Advice- just received second B-12 injection

I’ve been reading all your posts and I’m looking for insight. My symptoms started with pain in my left armpit, which spread to pain in my arm and numbness/tingling in my hand. I went to the ER, where numerous tests were run to rule out a blood clot or heart issue. Also had a CT scan, which was also negative. Since then the numbness and tingling spread to my other limbs. I went for bloodwork with my primary doctor, who thinks that I am deficient in B-12 and also D3. I just had my second B-12 injection a few days ago. I feel like this process has daily highs and lows. This all started about a month ago. After the second injection the numbness and tingling has greatly improved in my right arm and legs. My left armpit one again is sore, and I have pain in that arm. Overall I’m just so tired, and I think the injections have been making me feel sick to my stomach. Between the fatigue, feeling ill every day, and what this is doing to me mentally and anxiety-wise, I’m at my wits end. Have your experience been similar? Does anyone else have the soreness/pain in the armpit area? My concern is that maybe my diagnosis is not correct and it’s not due to B-12 and D3.

Thanks so much for reading and I appreciate any insight!

What were your blood results. ?You will know from them if b12 low and vit d

Good your doctor tested .

Your doctor is right to givevb12 injections and to monitor you

You can get worses before better.

Good other things bring ruled out . Ct scan ect.

I didnt have tour arm or armpit symptoms. .

Did have anxiety and paranoia which I've not experienced before . That went with treatment.

Hope you have more answers and relief soon.

Thanks for your reply. My bloodwork showed high B-12 (but I had started taking over the counter supplements on my own a few days before). I am also low on D3, so she instructed me to start taking a supplement.

I'd consider keeping up the booster injections (maybe 1x week). Don't have the source but I've read it's best to continue on a rigorous/frequent injection schedule for months until you see no further improvement. I had numbness in my right upper arm and right side of my face, and it took about a month or two for symptoms to resolve. Nackapan is right that it can get worse, or feel like things aren't improving for a while. For me I was lucky and am grateful that the symptoms are gone now.

But I'm no doctor, ideally pursue testing to search for the cause, even if symptoms resolve.

Not what you're looking for?
