Yes, I take 3 x 600 mg a day. It makes the difference between it feeling like walking on gravel and feeling like I'm walking on broken glass.
Before I started on it I would need to take codeine when the pain kept me awake, about once a month. Since I started I've not touched the codeine.
My neurologist said that it should be fine.
Just recently the pain has got worse so I asked my GP if I could add another 300 mg of gabapentin to my evening dose. Wow! That made a huge difference.
Don't expect any great effect. For me it was a minor improvement of the effect of the gabapentin. If you have neuropathic pain then I would talk to the doc about that (or pregabalin) first.
I tried it. Didn’t work for me. Mind you neither did gabapentin nor amitriptyline. Doing SI every two days for the last 3 months does however seem to be helping.
