Was wondering if anyone knew anything of CliveAlive? He’s usually very active in this community, but I haven’t seen his comments or posts in a while. I did a search and saw his last activity was about 8 mos ago. I hope everything is good with him and that he’s merely outgrown us.
CliveAlive: Was wondering if anyone... - Pernicious Anaemi...
CliveAlive
Hi loves-dogs I'm still around but not as active as in previous years as there seem to be many more active and knowledgeable persons responding to questions these days so I am more "selective" in my responses and keep to the more "simple" enquiries.
I'm not sure how one searches to see when I last commented but I can assure you that I'm still "clivealive" on here every day and offering replies most days at the age of 78.
Thank you for your kind concern and I wish you well.
Well, good to see your post! I always thought your advice of experience was positive and encouraging to people. That is a valuable contribution to anyone either new to dealing with PA or a veteran hitting a stumbling block. Taking a break by your decision is is a good thing, but don’t sell yourself and what you have to offer short as to its importance. It may not be needed by everybody, but it will always be needed by somebody. Again, good to see you on here again.
You can do a search for almost anything. Click on the microscope icon at the top and type keywords into the blank. To search for you, I typed in “clivealive” and got both your old posts and comments you made on others.
To see a person's activity just click on their name to bring up their profile page. From there you can check on their latest posts and replies.
When I posted on here, when I first joined the Pernicious Anaemia Society in 2016, clivealive was almost always the first person who replied. That alone means a lot when you are scared and confused about what is happening to you.
I think we are lucky on this forum; people really do look out for each other.
Just like you did by posting, loves-dogs .
Clive, being kind and funny and helpful is who you are and what you do. Thanks for that.
Thank you. Being kind, caring and compassionate goes a long way in the affect it has on people, and CliveAlive certainly has done that.
We all need a deviation from our life involvements from time to time, temporary or permanent. I’m very glad CliveAlive is still with our group and seemingly plans to continue, but what’s most important is he now knows the value his contributions have been for many.
I am glad I have you CliveAlive you were there for me on my first day. Thank you !!! So glad you're ok to.
Glad you are ok Clive, it is always helpful to read your positive comments!
M-G xx
