G.p can order a blood test . B12 level Intrinsic factor antibody. And others . Mma . Others on here will have a list. Also your symptoms are the key

Can the test still be done if my levels are ok at the moment? I’ve had loading injections in the past but at the moment they are ok. Lately I’ve been suffering brain fog and anxiety and bad heartburn.

Sounds like you should've continued after your loading doses on a regime that kept your symptoms away

I'm new to all this and 4.5 months in and not got to the regime yet. I'm certainly not going to stop injections though as when I did for 6 weeks symptoms returned and it was pointed out on here I'd missed a stage. My intrinsic factor blood test and coeliac and something else was done before my first loading dose. Check with your doctor. The main thing is to treat your symptoms. Or find out if anything else going on

I wish you well

Sunnydevon - are you based in the UK? Standards in the UK are that B12 injections should be for life in the case of an absorption problem like PA and retesting of B12 levels is not necessary post loading doses.

When did you last have a B12 shot?

I had loading doses in 2016. I have been using a spray and levels have improved. I am getting print out from doctor later.
