did you mean to include a link?
Hi Mthfr,
Thanks for trying to share this. Newly diagnosed, facing ignorance and arrogance, not getting the help I need, I personally found this compelling viewing and actually watched it for the second time yesterday. So thanks for attempting to share! It was one of the many things which has helped to give me strength to fight the medics and these films need to be constantly raised for new members and newly diagnosed like myself. It's great that we help each other on this forum so please don't be deterred!
I wish you all the best!
Drumstix 👍
Thank you both for posting.
It was watching this video a few years ago that alerted me to the slow and insidious way that B1def. creeps up over years and the myriad and complex ways that B12d manifests in (40% of Americans) all ages - babies, teenagers, pregnant women, older people, etc. The information enabled me and my family to further research and persuade doctors to treat a seriously deficient family member and look after ourselves too.
This excellent video contains important and comprehensive information on folic acid and B12 connections ranging from stomach problems, thyroid disease, etc. to neuro, psychological and circulatory problems.
It would be great if a similar video could be made in the UK and circulated to all GPs 🤗
It would be great if B12 deficiency was even on the radar in the UK! Unfortunately the GP's who, let's face it mostly do care about their patients, don't have time to even listen to us, let alone research B12d for themselves, and the bottom line here is that the drug companies rule completely. It's a multi billion £ industry that does not need an injection costing pennies interfering with huge profits and thus future research. That isn't being cynical, it's the way of modern medicine. Very very sad but true.
But hey! Despondency doesn't help! 😝👍😜☀️
xx
Agree absolutely Drumstix. After finally getting treatment for our family member, she was was able to walk and function again but memory was already badly impaired.
Much later, her surgery stopped injections when she relapsed the day before her next injection was due. Pyschiatrists refused to believe the research presented, ignored physical symptoms, and treated hallucinations with antipsychotics only with catastrophic result.....
The surgery would then have claimed the highest amount on their commissioning list for mental illness. Thyroid disease is at the bottom of the list, which is probably why so many of us have a battle to get optimal treatment.
Keep on drumming 🤗
