I just read this blog today because I took a time out from HealthUnlocked. I do the same thing with The News Media. Sometimes just watching The News sets off my tremors.

My wife is a voting judge. On election Day she told me that the lines were long and people seemed eager to vote. There were no problems at The Polling Place I think that The People spoke out loud and clear. I found it both interesting and amusing that some of the states wanted to secede form The Union when their candidate lost.

Hit a bum note didnt I eh? lol No luck on job front yet but Im hoping to here from a job interview I had by either this friday or beginning of next week and Ive applied for about half a dozen other jobs too so fingers crossed. And yes I feel another party coming on soon

I just saw this. Voted for Obama here in NYC. What a squeaky close race. Tough road ahead. People avoid talking about politics because it's too emotional here I guess.

I think Obama was the more popular choice here in the UK too if I`m honest. Yeah I guess it is quite an emotional topic but it would seem the best guy for the job won in the end

Hi Andy. I haven't been on the site for a while. I wanted President Obama to win again!! We are all in need of better health care. I did not believe Mr. Romney would take care of us. Pat V is soooo right about the subject being very sensitive over here! It seems there are soooo many people who still do not trust our president. My daughter sadly is one of them. We can't talk politics with her or her husband due to very high emotions and disagreements.

My youngest son who is 19 requested I watched the returns with him on TV. He voted in his first election. We had a very informational evening.

Yes for many Americans the election of OUR President is very emotional. It's because we treasure OUR right to vote.

I voted for Obama in 2008. liked his health care plan and voted for him again. Yea! I win.

I have a son, Steven, living in New Rochelle, NY, and my wife's son, Jon, lives in Nutley, NJ, both work in NY. They don't have votes but they both rooted for Obama.

Jon's American wife certainly voted for him. 4 years ago they were living in Omaha and we were visiting them while the election was on - very exciting!!

I thought Obama's post election speech was inspiring - I wish we had a politician who could stir the nation like that! (I also thought that Romney's speech was generous and showed him in a very human light.)

hey all--haven't been around recently--

in re: the presidential election--very touchy topic for us citizens--discussions often lead to highly emotional debates. for those interested in election result discussion try finding discussion threads on facebook. andy, i think you didnt have many replies because most of us in the US know how quickly a discussion on politics can deteriorate into an emotional boondoggle!

I voted for Barack Obama. It's a shame that The World has to be exposed to all of the negativism as represented in The Media. The Hate Groups make Americans look bad. We should all try to lead with good example.
