Some people have posted saying that they would like to try Rytary, but can't afford it or can't obtain it. I show in a post to the Neurotalk/Parkinson's forum how you can approximate the pharmacokinetics (what the body does to the drug) using four doses of IR C/L to replace one of Rytary. If you are interested in this, you are advised to discuss it with your doctor.
To approximate the pharmacokinetics of a 390 mg dose of Rytary:
Dose 1: 100 mg IR C/L, 0 hours
Dose 2: 60 mg IR C/L, 1.5 hours
Dose 3: 60 mg IR C/L, 3 hours
Dose 4: 60 mg IR C/L, 4.5 hours
IR C/L means immediate release cabidopa/levodopa (e.g. Sinemet).
