I watched the jre experience #1056 on YouTube and they were talking about the endocrine system and how head injuries through life can cause the brain to prematurely age. Resulting in lots of things, although the context of the conversation was ptsd. They talk about getting hormone lvls tested and treated resulting in over 80% success at curing ptsd. In one case the person had developed a stutter and through the treatment the stutter stopped due to the brain being able to rebuild around the damaged area.

The first hormone they talked about was human growth hormone, apparently one of the effects is a damn good nights sleep. And maybe some other possible benefits.

Another hormone the talked about that caught my attention was pregnenolone.
