Yesterday my adult tricycle fell over with me on it. Fortunately I was wearing a helmet but my left shoulder and head hit the pavement really bad. I was not nauseous, I did not fall asleep, but today I am very very dizzy.

I did not fall asleep, but today I am very very dizzy.

Any suggestions?'s

I would think it imperative you go to Emergency Room now.

We pray you get checked out. A mild concussion needs a little rest a week or 2... praying tonight.

Good luck and I hope you're ok

Dearest 12stargate,

i am so sorry to hear you fell. I am glad that you weren't hurt worse than what you were. How scary. I would say you are probably fine, maybe it caused damage to your inner ear or something tho when you hit your head. Glad you were smart and wear a helmet. I would definitely make can appt to see your Dr tho just to be on the safe side. you could have some bruising or swelling that is putting pressure on your inner ear and it is no fun to feel dizzy because that usually leads to naseau and maybe even getting sick to your stomach depending on how severe the dizziness gets. I would def ask your Dr. i hope you feel better soon. ;-)

luv, DF

Stargate, I'm writing this reply 9 hours after you originally posted. I hope that you have gone to the emergency room by now. You wrote that you were "very, very dizzy". That's nothing to mess with when you have hit your head. If you haven't gone yet, please go now. And, please keep us posted when things have settled down. I'll be praying for you.

Hi Eva. I just read your post. I am so sorry to hear about your fall! I will be looking for a report on what the Dr. says and how you are doing. I ride an adult trike too and I worry about falling. Thank goodness you were wearing your helmet. Thinking about you and sending good thoughts your way.

I would also check it out. I tripped and did a wipe out but was only bruised on my knees. guess this qualifies as first 'fall'. damn... I was hoping to be a graceful swan a bit longer.

To paraphrase Freud, sometimes a fall is just a fall. :-)

Hope you are feeling better stargate and especially that the dizzy feeling has gone. You certainly have had more than your share of feeling dizzy lately!

Stargate have you been checked for Menieres?

Hikoi Feeling better today!! I have been checked for Meniers, and my ears are fine.

Doctors can't seem to figure out what the dizziness is from. I have actually not gone to specialists for a while, or doctors, for that matter. I feel disolutioned with most of them.

I learn more from you and all of my friends here. And I will stick with that for a while. I am actually having good results with that.

I hope you have had a good day. If we could only not get stressed, we'd be so much better off right?

Stress and life go hand in hand. For me it is about learning how to deal with stress before it suddenly has gone too far.

I do deep breathing every morning and Qui Gong. Both practices help tremendously in keeping stress at bay.

Take good care of your wonderful self and enjoy your weekend!

Blessings, eva g.

Glad you feel a little better

I don't know how they checked you for Menieres but is diagnosed by symptoms just as PD is. It s an inner ear problem and affects your hearing and balance. Symptoms - vertigo, tinnitus, hearing loss, sometimes nausea vomiting headache and sudden falls.

PD vertigo is caused by drops in the BP rather than inner ear problems.

My friends with tinnitus have episodes, some days they spend resting all day because they can't do much at all. It's very disabling just as PD can be.

I think you work hard at being as stress free as possible Eva, it can be very difficult to overcome with PD

Eva, I just read this. I'm so glad you're feeling better. Have you checked your blood pressure lately? I have a friend that recently was feeling dizzy & her doctor doubled her BP med & it helped right away. You take care of yourself & hope your shoulder is feeling better also.

I just read about your fall, I'm so sorry but I'm glad you're doing okay. That must have been so scarey. Were you alone? Glad you had on a helmut.

Take care!
