Music can help but unfortunately since PTSD caused my profession music husband divorcing me, taking inheritance while I was very ill with Endo and menopause. I can't listen to any music which he played which is vast as I tremble or water floods from eyes but I feel no upset but I am not crying in normal terms but my makeup runs and people think I am crying.

I think music is very therapeutic. I listen mostly to country music. I have songs that make. me feel better and songs to give me strength. My favorite artist of all time is Miranda Lambert and beyond her Reba McEntire. But I actually love pretty much every country music artist. When I’m by myself, I play the music while I’m driving, pretty loudly. And sing along. And I also play it when I’m working out in the yard.

That's lovely for you. I don't like most Country music or Opera as my mother was a Opera singer and sent my to lessons. I like Jazz, Rock and some Blues and some Orchestral but I can't listen for long because of PTSD nor bright fast moving colours of TV or Film noise. With the best intentions I go to friends playing but can't do it for long. Peace, silence, the birds singing and watching plants.

No offense to your mom but I don’t like opera either. I do listen to to rock and oldies but country is my favorite. I am sorry you suffer from PTSD. That’s hard. I have Fibromyalgia so some noise really bothers me. I am with you on silence and birds chirping. I am outside today planting. It’s nice. I hope today is a good day for you.
