Researchers looking for cures

Hi everyone. I just got back from the American Pancreatic Association Annual Meeting in Florida, where I spoke on a panel. More on that later. Hundreds of doctors and researchers on the pancreas from across the US and Europe attended. I got to discuss and encourage work to develop therapies for chronic pancreatitis and hear about new research projects. I wanted to share a picture of 2 researchers who are working on hereditary pancreatitis: Dr. Miklos Sahin-Toth of UCLA and Dr. Balazs Nemeth of the University of Szeged in Hungary. There is hope!

This research gives us hope of better things to come. Being diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis is frightening because of the lack of knowledge and treatments so it's like finally seeing a little light at the end of a very dark tunnel!
