At last, a side-effect of pregabalin that I didn’t get!

Utter rubbish, but I'm wondering why I've got a notion to dress up in the missus clothes 😂

PMSL! That has got me chuckling thanks for that. I hope you and the missus are the same size! :D x

Well if you have no desire you can't be gay either! x

Oh, my. Did the TV doctor briefly explain the genetics and environment factors to her without a demeaning attitude? There are many silent people who don't know and are embarrassed to ask.

It was a he not a she.

He was blaming pregabalin pure and simple which of course is utter rubbish

Sorry if I offended you by not knowing it was a man instead of a woman....guess I just get tired, when the sex of a person is not mentioned, of typing "he/she". And I'm not disagreeing about what appears to be a

"posed" question that was asked.....but also realize that to some faiths a gay person is a sin against "God", etc. So was glad the question was posed and at least a short "no" answer was given but had hoped the Dr. might have explained more that sex orientation is not a choice.

No offense taken. , It does say man in the post title.

Not wishing to get into the why and how of someone's sexual orientation....this was a stupid story blaming a drug. It should never have been given air time

Sorry I didn't catch the "he" in the title of the post.

Hi..The Dr who is gay said a little more in the TV interview but i hadn't included this...And I was just wondering if people lost their desire not so much about changing their sex orientation...

The Dr actually stated he had taken also taken Pregabalin in the past and said funnily he wasn't anymore gayer!!

Hope i clarified my post a little better..😉

I listened to the article in....the Mail...yes only time I would ever ever comment on that rubbish paper.

It is well known pregabalin can affect a person's libido but to claim it made the recipient of the drug into a gay man is dangerous. That man needs serious counseling.

You were right to post as on the surface it is absurd and hilarious. He even said he liked the effects the drug had and would continue to take it. Not if i was his GP he wouldn't

Yeah, depending on what meds you're on, how much pain you're in, how much exercise you can get, whether you're depressed/anxious, desire can decrease or go to 0. It sucks, and not enough docs pay attention to this - it can destroy a relationship! I was put on Prozac in.... 1995? I completely lost my desire, but nobody had mentioned it as a side effect, so we thought it was that I no longer wanted *him*. Nasty breakup, tears and a lot of pain on both sides. A few years later I was told that Prozac can kill desire. Frustrating!

I'd find a doc who understands that sexual desire is important, and look into your meds first.

Well said..but think any desire has left me totally...

Most meds can have this effect on sexual desire any way, i was on prozac many moons ago. Had no effect on me :-), these days as i have got a little older that dept does not bother me any longer. I am drug free atm, and wasnt Prozac banned due to the side effects of it ? Each medication has a different effect on each individual differently any way. If one pill dont work then there are many others that you can try, but i still say they still have side effects of some form which suppresses your sexual desire. :-)

The only problem is that I don't know which way the "thong" goes 😂

If it's REAL thong, doesn't matter. And thongs are made for all sexes and size and shape. :)
