So if any of you have been following me or reading my posts you will know I've had some difficulties with doctors and contradicting diagnoses from the doctors. I was asked to do an assessment for DWP to which in my amazement they have said I'm too sick to work.
This is a great relief for me as I was so anxious and paranoid that they would say i don't need to be off work. The pain gets so bad that sometimes it takes my breathe away and I'm counting down the hours to my next meds.
I wanted to share this with those of you have not quite got a clear diagnosis or have contradicting diagnosis. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Fight for what you know, not what you get told. You know your own bodies and if something's wrong then persist with it π

I am glad that it has worked out for you and that you had a successful DWP assessment. it just goes to show that it isn't the diagnosis that is important, it is how it affects you.
It's so true but for all those (not on this site) that try's to defraud the system they know their stuff. They know what to look out for and this is why they find it important to do an hours assessment.
I couldn't even sit in the chair in one position for more than 5 mins so I can't imagine what it's like for people who have a crumbling spine.
Well said, you are so right I too have been either fobbed off or told no diagnosis or the wrong one. I think if doctors listened more and talked less and even made an effort to look up from your notes that would be a start. You do have to fight because you do know your body best. Glad you can see light at the end of the tunnel
I just wanted to inform people that it's not all bad. Sometimes when people take the time to listen, the appropriate judgement will be made π€
I'm very pleased with your outcome. What did you have to do at this Assessment I am waiting on one and am very nervous as they might say I have to work.I have damaged 3 discs in my lumber spine with nerve root I'm pingment at multiple levels.I have bursitis in both shoulders and Sciatica in left leg .
It's just like a PIP assessment. Take all your hospital letters so that they can see what your going through. Just be yourself and be honest, that's what I did. I didn't pretend not to do anything I could. I hope this helps you some what?
Thank you truly sad 76 this has helped a lot thanx. We will have to call you happy sad 76. Good luck
