Laying in hospital desperately hoping they will lower the volume soon. Great meds done and lights just gone out but volume just as loud!!!!

Never fails to amaze me.Youre in hospital as you need care and rest yet the noise is beyond silly.They wake you at 12.30 pm to give you a sleeping tablet then wake again at 7am for a drink.

Haven't got the hang of this yet.

To be fair pretty good on this ward get meds including CDs and sleeping tabs at good times. The night staff do a hot drink round about 8.30pm and also 06.00 if awake and will always do u a drink in night. Only thing they don't have hang of is although it's the nurses day it's the PATIENTS NIGHT!!!!

They probably think as you're in bed all day you don't need to rest at night.

When I was in hospital in December some of the patients were most of the problem.Elderly patients who were bed blocking.No one at home to care for them,no smaller local hospitals near their home to take them in and no residential home available or funding agreed.They were up and down all night wandering around.And the nurses - well why go and talk quietly to someone in the next bay when you can just shout?

Sounds like it's not too bad on the whole,could be a lot worse.Hows the food? I used to hijack the league of friends trolley in the morning for the days supplies,and ask hubby to bring me in Red Cross parcels.I even had an escape strategy with a tunnel planned,but it was always going to be difficult being on the 4 th floor.Never really got started - it was tricky smuggling in a shovel.- lol
