Hi djdris,

I had spinal surgery on my lower spine 2 years ago in May, while recovering from this I started having strange sensations from waist up and three numb fingers on right hand, after MRI's and lots of test, they confirmed that a disc in my neck was pressing and nearly severed the spinal cord, I had ACDF, replacing disc & fusion, last May, I have had no improvement since surgery and now the nerve damage and chronic pain is permanent, the surgery was never going to make things better for me, just prevent being paralysed from neck down.....

Hope you find some relief soon Xx

Like Jenni57 I too have chronic pain in shoulder, upper arm and worst of all nerve damage in right hand which causes severe stinging pain in fingers. This was after a lamenectomy for cervical stenosis. Without the surgery I too would have been paralyzed from waist down.

There is no cure only medication for pain relief but I have given up on those drugs which as supposed to help either because they don't work or because of the side effects.

However I do take Krantom powder from time to time which gives one a mildly euphoric feeling for a couple of hours and takes the edge off the pain.
