Breathlessness and headaches update!!

Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts and experience on my last post. Just to let you know that I saw my oncologist today and he has booked me a CT scan -should be within the next two weeks. I am stopping Niraparib for three weeks as well just to check the symptoms are not side effects. He did say that Niraparib can scar the lungs. I had not heard of this. Anyone else heard this or had lung scarring as a side effect of Niraparib? Thanks again, the support from this group is brilliant!!

So a quick Google search and I think the oncologist was referring to pneumonitis when he talked about Niraparib scarring the lungs as mentioned by Lyndy in the previous post.

Good luck with your scan, let us know the outcome won't you? I hope you manage to recover a bit in the next few weeks and start feeling more like yourself again xx

Good luck with your scan. I hope the breathlessness can be improved. I know it’s not pleasant. Xx
