Niraparib
Oh yes! It’s infuriating isn’t it? I get it on chemo and when I am tired too.
I think it’s a form of neuropathy and that the nerves in the ear are damaged. My experience is that it does improve over time (having said that, I have it right now as I am writing!). Presumably you have recently had chemo and moved on to the Parp? So your neuropathy from chemo won’t have had a chance to get better before being hit by Niraparib. I would mention it to your team if it’s bothering you.
xx
Hi, I've had this for years and thought it was something you just had to live with. I've had neuropathy for 9 years and spend my life freezing cold, pains in my toes and ringing in the ears. I though it was old age. Sorry to not have better news. If you find any way to deal with it, please post. Best wishes, Zena
I've had it since my chemo in 2018. It's called Tinitis & it has nothing to do with your hearing. Part of neuropathy. I'm sometimes not aware of it but it's always there. You do learn to live with it. I play games with myself & pretend it's crickets or rain falling. There's enough going on in your life without allowing this to take control. By the way, there is no known cure. Love & hugs.
Hi I’m the same, Ive had Tinnitus since chemo in 2019, it gets worse when I’m tired. I’ve looked at various ways to control it like mindfulness and playing music on earphones etc to try to block it but nothing has worked. I’ve learnt to live with it but some days the volume of it is so high that I actually ask my husband if he can hear it??!!!
Sorry that’s not more positive but for some people it does improve over time xx
