Hi Eleybelly. No I’m not really ok . My face to face appointment was a disaster really. Still no more treatment except Letrozole. I practically begged on my hands and knees for anything but it seems my disease has spread so much further that there is nothing left for me. I’m waiting to hear from Prof Jayson at the Christie in Manchester but right now I’m so down I’m starting to realise it’s my time.

If you could read-post this for me I’d appreciate it. In the meantime I’ll try to post something myself again

Hi Lee, I have faith in the oncologist but I believe the decision was made at the MDT meeting that there was nothing left that wouldn’t kill me or make things much worse than they are already. I fear Prof Jayson may feel the same. I’m not confident about anything anymore. Love Angela x

Letrozole has been amazing for some of us as have other AIs . If you haven’t looked at Jane McLelland’s book How to Starve Cancer and tried the protocol there it may well be helpful too. I’ve stopped the letrozole and am just continuing with that (so far so good 9 months on ). The metabolic approach with all the pathways being blocked makes so much sense to me. A second opinion might really be helpful too .

Thank you Alex, I know you’re a fan of the Jane McLellands book. I sent for it some time ago from Amazon. It never turned up. They refunded the money. Some say it’s good some don’t. Like everything I suppose. Well done 9 months without treatment. That’s just magic. All the best for a long, long time.

Sorry you had such bad news. I haven't read the Jane McLelland book but I did read radical remission by dr. kelly turner. It's anecdotal but some people have had good results. I got a second-hand copy from Amazon but have lent it to a friend who's having second round of chemo for pancreatic cancer. Otherwise I'd gladly send it to you. Perhaps someone here has a copy of the McLelland one they could lend you? Is your oncologist chasing the professor? Prayers and hugs to you. xx

Thanks for the advice and hugs. I may just have a think about those books but I’m not sure I’m strong enough to go for all that healthy food. It’s taking me all my time to eat a slice of toast at the moment. I bought 2 books written by Fiona McPhee but she sadly died of OVC not long ago. She was only about 41 bless her. It didn’t work for her. I don’t think my oncologist will be chasing up the Professor.
