Hi Janscanner,

I had to look it up! Here’s what I found :-

“ Standard formulation paclitaxel requires the use of solvents, such as Cremphor-EL®, which contribute to some of the toxicities commonly associated with paclitaxel-based therapy. Nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel (nab™-paclitaxel) is a novel solvent-free formulation of paclitaxel.“

I haven’t had it but I am going to ask about it as I’m about to start 3rd line Paclitaxel!

It is unfunded in New Zealand.It will be my fourth line of treatment.

Taxol yes weekly for 3 wks one wk off. Easy. Watch out for fragile nails and neuropathy in fingers and toes. Nails the greasiest guck you can find massage into nails every nite neuropathy i take homeopathic phosphorus granules and "nerves"ampoules 2xday. Also small dose of an amino acid called glutamine the day of and 2 days after infusion.
