Anxiety - mucinous borderline tumor

Hi

I had a borderline ovarian cyst removed 2 months ago. Dr did a retest and CA125 went up a little from when they did the test. My tumor weighed 3L and was 28cm long so big! Dr said no splilage or anything. My gyno was keen to just do 6 monthly check ups but since it went up slightly she's keen to remove the ovary, omenteum and appendix. I'm getting another test next week to double check it wasn't because of something else. But my head is everywhere, I've just started a new job, I keep having lower back pain, upper back pain, pain everywhere sometimes up left, then upper right of abdomen. It was removed from the right ovary but I get some pain there then pain on left. I feel like I'm dying slowly and I can't eat cos my anxiety is bad but then I read that's a sign of OC. Then I get get groin pain then it goes away I dunno..,

I'm trying to stay offline, my GP said I'm heading but to trust my gyno but she just seems to want me to get in and out of the public system (in Australia).

Any advice?

I'm also 25 btw

Hi Anna.I read your post this is so hard at any age but to be so young, I can't give you advice on the surgery if you are not happy with the gyno do have a second opinion before deciding.

I'm in Australia and have been on treatment for 3 years now, you are in one of the best health systems in the world, I've had second opinions when I've asked for one,

last week I went to see one of the top prof at Randwick Women's Hospital I felt so much better in seeing him and knowing my treatment was ok.

I have a lovely oncologist she is happy for me to have these second opinions so do ask it might still be the same as your gyno but you will know it the right decision... sending my best wishes that all will be ok...Lorraine 💙 ps in what state are you?

Thanks for your message I'm in VIC :) it's defs hard and just not understanding or having anyone my age who had experienced this to talk to is hard and makes me feel like there is something seriously wrong with me.

Hi Anna, There is defiantly nothing wrong with you as I said this is a very hard time ask your GP if he or she can give you a contact number for cancer support, I have joined a group and it's been rewarding, most will be older then you but you will find good support and someone you can talk to at any age, we all can understand what you are going through. Also on the second opinion you have one of the best cancer hospitals in Australia Peter Mac Cancer Center Melbourne and is a public hospital.

Lets hope all this is not necessary, try and keep your spirits up.... best wishes Lorraine xx😀😀
