hi i'm pat - i had ovarian cancer in 1995. fortunately it was completely removed and i had no follow up other than a ct scan for 10 years. thankfully nothing happened in those 10 years and i was discharged in 2005. i'll always be grateful to my gp and my gyneacologist for saving my life.

Hi Pat. Congratulations on doing so well. Can I ask what stage you were when you were diagnosed?

fortunately it was caught at a very early stage but i've been told it was a rare form. so thanks to a complete hysterectomy everything was removed hence no need for any other treatment.

sometimes i feel a bit of a fraud when i look at what other people are going through but i thank my lucky stars [and gp and gynae] that they were on the ball and caught it in time. i was fully informed at all stages too.
