I'm a 61 year old RN. I live in northern California. A week ago I had my 2nd Taxol/Carbo infusion.

Let's support each other and win this war!

Hi Deidre! Welcome to the group - I have found this forum to be invaluable throughout my treatment. I finished chemo in September last year and was declared 'no evidence of disease' in my final CT scan. I have my first 'official' 3 month review next week.

Hi Diedre and welcome although I'm sorry our paths have had to cross in this way. I've already read one of your fantastic responses to a post. As you say, everyone is here to help, guide and support one another as we all take on our own journeys. I wish you well in yours.

Hi Deidre. Great to hear from USA though of course it's sad it had to happen this way. My son lives in San Fran & I often ask what treatments r available there.

Been NED for 1 year, last CA125 was 10, up from 8. Was diagnosed stage 3C, large tumour on ovary with scatter gun effect everywhere including peritoneum, bowel, cervix etc. Kidneys liver & lung clear, praise be!

Good luck with it all & do let us know if your side offer you anything groundbreaking.

Hi Deirdre. I was 66 when I was diagnosed with Peritoneal cancer in April 2016 my CA125 was through the roof. Now clear after 18 Taxol/Carbo weekly sessions just quarterly blood tests for the foreseeable future to check it hasn't returned. Stick with it the chemo drugs weren't really too bad, no major side effects just sleepy from the Piriton for 12 hours and very little sickness. Good luck you will be ok, after it's gone it's just treated as a chronic illness after that. Catherine
