Have you had an ultrasound scan? If so, this usually checks the dimensions of the lining of the uteris. Hypoechoic means a mass that shows up as dark on the scan, but 4mm sounds very small. There is sometimes a small amount of fluid found, usually this should be investigated. I'm not sure, my answer is based on an ultrasound scan I had a while ago. If the scan shows anything abnormal, then it needs to be looked at in more detail. Usually that means you are referred to a gynaecologist who will order either a repeat US with doppler (to check blood flow) or possibly a CT or MRI scan, which gives more detail. Best, Vxxx

Hi

I'm not sure what stage you are at with investigation, diagnosis, or monitoring. If you have a look on the website, ovacome.org.uk you will possibly find something there that will clarify your thinking. If you suspect OC, there is a BEAT symptom tracker there where you can record symptoms and print them out. There is a helpline for support and numerous fact sheets (resources section).

All the best

Love Wendy xx
