I would like to thank Ruth and June for organising Saturdays coffee morning in Cork. It was nice to meet and chat informally. This is really very important to us ladies to meet others in the same boat outside a hospital setting. It shows us we are not alone. So if there is a coffee morning coming up in your area, I would encourage each of you to go along and have a cuppa and meet new friends.
Coffee morning Cork: I would like to thank Ruth and... - OvaCare
Coffee morning Cork
That's great that you could get together. I had a cancer support group when I was going through chemo but now my hospital is too far away (I'm in Massachusetts). It's Ovarian Cancer month in the States now and my husband and I did a run/walk yesterday to raise money for research. I got to meet some fellow OC women there.
Dear Suzuki, I never heard of recent coffee morning in Cork or other near places.
Please add me to your list.
I live in Co. Limerick and I would like to learn and contribute,
I hope you continue to do well!
I am in pain neck and wrist and have leg pain.

Hi Rachel, I am just a patient who goes along to these events and find I meet with other ladies in similar circumstances. I have checked the schedule sent to me and hopefully one of these events will interest you. Ovacare is a group set up in Ireland to support those with Ovarian Cancer, its headquarters are in Cork and the website is ovacare.ie. I am sorry you never knew about these events but sometimes the information doesn't reach those who would be interested. So this is a list of upcoming events
1. Patient Information Day Sat October 5th Hilton Hotel, Charlemont Dublin time 10.am to 3pm There will be a patient story and talks by various speakers including a gynae or Oncologist etc. Lunch is provided.
2. Coffee and Chat Sligo Park Hotel, Sligo Saturday November 16th from 11.am to 1pm
3. Coffee and Chat, no 1 Perry Street Limerick on Saturday December 7th.
To register for any of these events and you can bring partner or friend, please go to the Ovacare Website ovacare.ie. Once you have registered, they will have your email address and any future events should be notified to you. The patient day should be interesting if you want to travel or you can wait and come along in December to Limerick. I hope this is helpful to you, all the very best
