Was delighted to see the new guidelines pinned up on the notice board at my GP's desk yesterday. She said they are great as they never had a referral pathway prior to this. Thank you to everyone who was involved in pushing this forward.

New Referral Guidelines
That is absolutely brilliant well done. I hope my gp will have these to displayed also when I visit. In fairness when I do complain, he does look after me and I am in with Oncologist within a few days. What worries me is that the report from the ICGP re waiting times shows that the gynae waiting list is one of the longest waiting lists in the country. I did bring that to their attention at the launch of that report and was told more of less that they were talking generally in terms of gynae problems. Then the question and answer session came to an abrupt end. This is not good enough really as any patient on a waiting list gynae or not may be unlucky to be diagnosed with Cancer
This is great news - I know from listening to other women's stories that it can take a long time for a diagnoses and it is often mistaken for other conditions..........well done Ovacare team!

Great! Have heard so many women being sent away with Diverticulisis or IBS diagnosis,so amazing finally there is a referral pathway.
I have to say my own doctors surgery was amazing, sent straight for targeted blood tests, back to the surgery in 2 days and fast tracked through the nhs, very impressive, but so many women have different story's, so this is amazing news.
