It is enormously variable, according to what sort of cancer it is, what stage it was found to be on diagnosis, and with some variations in relation to surgery and after care.

Overall statistics are therefore fairly meaningless when it comes down to one individual. So try and be positive and hope for the best!

Only your specialist can answer this. My surgeon told me that they had done biopsies all around the edges of what they removed and found no cancer so I should be clear. You could ask your specialists if they did this biopsy test and go into greater detail with your questions, if you want to know.

Almost impossible to answer. My surgeon told me to enjoy life without looking for a cloud over my shoulder. It all depends on the extent of your cancer & how your body responds to treatment.
