Congratulations Julie, it's good to hear of peoples milestones, we are all walking this rocky path together and it's nice to know it gets smoother.

All the very best of everything for 2012

Hi there Julia,

well done and a Happy New Year.

I'm just waiting for a new scan to see how far my cancer has grown in the past few weeks, so it's another milestone for me as well. I thought that I had beaten it but they told me a month back that instead of having a simple stretch as I had thought, it has returned but don't know how much or what the consequences are likely to be. I should get the results tomorrow, so wish me luck.

And the same goes for all of you out there, whatever it throws at you -- keep smiling and press on --

Just might need a bit of support in a day or so.

Keep the flag flying everyone!!!!

Definitely a time for strength and courage, and we send you all our very best wishes. It's a big thing for all the family and friends too. They do not know what to say of course, but the right words seem to come out OK amongst the family and those who love you. Sometimes these things make us appreciate our priorities, and life for however long we may have it for.

Keep open-minded about what the doctors say about any possible treatments.

Happy New Year to you Julia and congratulations on being so positive 5 years on. Although we are all different and need to be realistic about our own situations it is good to hear positive news to help keep everything in perspective. Here is to the next 5 years and more.

Best wishes Terry B
