By far the worst part of this journey has been constipation which is probably a consequence of taking morphine.

I gave up worrying about any sense of dignity long ago. Thankfully I have a. caring, understanding wife.

Hello, I'm so sorry, as you sound so fed up! Yes you are right it probably is the morphine causing the constipation and I assume your doctor has prescribed something to help with it. There are lots of different preparations sold for this uncomfortable condition but I find natural soft licorice helps me and old fashioned syrup of figs. If you find something you would recommend please let me know.Hoping you feel a bit more comfortable soon.

Constipation can be induced due to a medicine or a combination of those. However excess Iron supplents, fiber intake can easily help as well. Within reasons.

Hi I was given Movicol. Yes probably the pain relief and your body trying to recover. It isn’t pleasant. I then went the other way . It is a roller coaster. Best Wishes
