Dumping syndrome
Hi there, Do you mean that you get dumping syndrome from the starchy food and meat.
I am nearly 5 years on I still get dumping from too much fat, sugar or basically eating too much. Also I can only sip water with food and wait 30 mins after to drink.
Good LUck
Debbie
Yes could eat mashed potatoes before and rice but now even a couple tablespoons clogs esophagus
Hi have you tried adding gravy or sauce to help move it down.Snack more cheese biscuits, crisps . Toast is better than bread, crackers are better than bread. Casseroles soften meat and soups are good.
Chew everything and eat small portions 6 to 8 times a day.
As far as the dumping i have banana, digestive biscuits or Dextrose tablets at hand.
If worried consult your hospital or GP.
Best Wishes
Debbie
Another idea I use is ( although I can’t eat and drink at the same time like ‘kiddy’) drinking a little - a few sips - before I eat , almost like I’m lubricating my new food pipe.
