Inflammed bowel

Wondering if any of you have had bowel inflammation post Ivor Lewis.

I am 1 year post op and yesterday had really bad diarrhoea, ended up fainting and ever since I have had bleeding from my bowel.

I am in hospital and a CT scan showed that my rectum, sigmoid colon and descending colon are all inflamed. I am on IV antibiotics to try to clear it up.

Still bleeding and very bad cramping.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar?

Possibly some bugs if cramping. With diarrhoea. Pure speculation. Stomach doesnt have enough and concentration of acid, perhaps to kill the foreign bodies.

Take it easy and hole you are in good hands in the hospital.

Yes had bowel obstruction that turned out to b a reoccurance of cancer in the stomach I am know getting chemo for cancer near bowel

oh dearI am 13years over my pop.and this diarrhoea is every day but it was not just as bad a few years ago just over 1year now ,there is not one day I get peace . I seem to be ok during the day but after my lunch at nite off it goes flood gated 5 to 10 time the rest of the nite. I live on Loperamide 2mg anything from 4/6/8 per day .Ifeel there will come a day they will not work. I start taking them when I hear the Roaring wind and cramps I now know its (diarrhoea ) coming later. I used to be able to travel self-cattering as I am coeliac as well My wife always does the cooking etc.Cant go every were any more.
