Hello foxy62, I the same junction cancer but with mets to the liver instead of the lungs. This was stage 4 also inoperable at the time. I was also HER2+. I was given chemo plus Hercepton, no radiation. The Chemo was Folfox. The after 4 sessions of chemo the tumors shrank almost to none. the concer then became operable so I went to surgery. Had an esophagectomy in Oct of 2017. Have been NED since. I felt a big difference after only two rounds of herceptin. How is yours working? Hang in there.

Mine mets to liver, lungs and lymph nodes, stage 4.I had radiation chemo, and now hercepton.Chemo was Capecitabine, oxaliplatin, trastuzumab. Some of the tumors have shrunked but the main tumor is inconclusive hasn't grown at present.I don't feel any difference with Herceptin.I am still very tired.Hoping I can have surgery down the road.Iam only 56 and cant stop thinking about dying. What are you eating to try to help.Ihave no nausea, and have put on weight.Thank you for replying.I live in Canada

Hello Foxy62

I can eat most anything but stay away from high sugar stuff since tumors like sugar. i also started to gain weight but stopped because I read somewhere that cancer also likes to have an abundance of energy. I can get dumping if I eat fast or large amounts, I am weight stable at 165lbs but feel I could lose another 8 lbs or so. Outside of that i take a multi and iron pill, plus an omeprozole and ranitidine once a day, an acetomineophen when needed. I'm in the Chicago Ill area

Hello foxy62

I'm no doctor but I looked up what your taking and see that a lot of it is for anxiety, depression , your also taking a narcotic, Some of the mood drugs may not go with the narcotic or vice versa. I'd get a review from another doc for drug interaction in your place. The narcotic can give bowel problems. "dumping" is a condition that happens when you don't have a stomach and food goes directly into the small intestine. under certain conditions the body reacts by cramping, releasing too much insulin, creating a lot of gas and diahrrea. It can be controlled by what and how you eat.
