I have read a lot about endoscopies being performed through the nose in the UK etc, but has anyone had one done in but US this way?? Particularly New England? If so, how was it??

Why go through the nose and not through the mouth ? I had 3 done so far and they were not uncomfortable (due to the fact that I was dozing happily)

Don’t want sedation/ had a traumatic experience as a kid. I’ve heard they do them transnasally in Europe and it’s easier on the gag reflex.
