My mum is just over a year post op and has been being sick since Thursday she is currently in hospital waiting for a scan anyone els had something like this before she has been so well up to know

Sorry to hear about your Mum. It worth remembering that the part of our tummies that has been removed is a big bath of hydrochloric acid which acts a bit like those shallow disinfectant pools they had in swmiimg pools when I was a kid, so when you get the kind of bacteria that gives normal people a 'gyppy' tummy it can really floor us. Maybe this has happened to her. It has happened to me in the past, and while it's very unpleasant and worrying it sorted it was still sorted out with antibiotics.
