My father has been to several doctors and can't figure out what's wrong with him. He has lost 38lbs in the last 2 weeks from not being able to eat. He's 65 years old. Every time he eats or drinks he instantly starts belching more of a sound of air escaping with a foamy mucous that makes it feel like it's filling his lungs and can't breathe at all. He's has several tests done on his stomach, lungs, heart and with no answers. I'm concerned he might die if they don't figure this out. Anyone have similar symptoms?

How distressing for you and your poor dad. I wish I could say anything to help. I can't. I do hope he gets the help he needs very quickly. So sorry for you both.
Could it be silent reflux , I’m not saying it is that understand, but it does sound a little bit like I was suffering with a few years back, and doctors didn’t know what it was, they put it down to asthma but I knew it wasn’t, it wasn’t until I was getting food stuck that they took notice and sent me for endoscopy anyway hope your dad gets sorted soon it must be awful not knowing what it is.
He's has 3 endoscopic studies..they did give him an enabler but that didn't help. The only time he gets any relief is when they give him steroids.
