For obvious reasons I have not been able to take our annual break to the sun this year, but I have to say I'm dreading the cost of any future travel insurance and it seems unfair and probably a huge con that they can sting you for something that being post op you technically no longer have and even if you did Cancer is not like a heart attack or a stroke, which let's face it could happen to anyone while on holiday. Cancer is unlikely to hospitalise you during you two weeks in wherever.

Holiday Insurance
My Holiday Insurance doesn't cover me for cancer & like u say it isn't likely to cause u to be hospilised so my holiday insce hasn't been increased . It just means im just not covered for cancer.
Hope this helps

Do you have a paid for bank account with benefits. I did with lloyds and for small top up fee, because I already had the insurance before I had cancer they have covered me world wide ever since.
I had a full years insurance before the Ivor Lewis operation. I contacted the insurance company and told them. They asked a whole load of questions and the bottom line a full years world wide insurance went up from £67.00 to £102.00 which I thought was acceptable xx John
I have never had an issue and as well as the cancer surgery have high BP. TryNationwide using their flex account policies you will have to pay a supplement for declared conditions. Mine is £120 but that is for annual multi trip global travel including my partner plus winter sports. Although I guess any cancer staging may change this, good luck
Hi i had to phone my bank insurance each time i went away in the first 2 years., they insured me but if i wanted to be insured for the cancer I had to pay a fee on top. Insurancewith.com is a company I was told give you a good deal. I am now 2 1/2 years post op and this year the bank will insure me fully no problem.
My holidays have been good for my recovery.
Best Wishes
Debbie
I've always gone through "Payingtomuch.com" and have usually found them alright albeit you have a lot of questions to answer, but because it's a comparison site. The questions are generic and without any ambiguity.
If you visit Spain for instance the insurance will be very high, but I found Portugal about a third of the cost. I went to Spain last year with the medical side omitted from the policy and paid £25 for 8 days but the full cover would have been £160.
I'm six years down the line for very successful cancer treatment
I have also been successfully treated for high blood pressure and high cholesterol. But according to the insurance companies I still have these conditions but I don't .
Try Euro tunnel. ....Got annual cover ( for Europe) plus golf clubs for both of us for £75 ....post Ivor Lewis.....x
