Uncontrolled coughing

I had cancer cells removed from my esophagus 5 years ago, My wife died in late June

with the same cancer that had spread. I have a constant and dangerous cough

that seems to happen when eating or drinking. Once it starts it some times causes

the epiglottis or vocal cords to close and then a real panic situation occurs and I can hardly breath. Does any of you experience this?

Hi Thomas

Do you have regular Endoscopy’s?

I think you should ask your GP to refer you for a check up - always better to check when you’ve got a history with the oesophagus, then you can stop worrying.

Good luck
